In this episode we talk about how our perspective of God greatly affects our lives, especially in terms of our relationship with God and how we live for Him.
I. Key Passages
Psalm 27:4 One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.
2 Corinthians 3:18 And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
II. Four Key Ways We Must See God
1. God Is Holy
Isaiah 57:15 (ESV) For this is what the high and exalted One says— he who lives forever, whose name is holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.
2. God is Good
Psalm 86:5 (ESV) "For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive, And abundant in loving kindness to all who call upon You."
3. God is Love
1 John 4:8 (NIV) Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
4. God is Father
Romans 8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!”
